Kaffir Lime Tree-Part II

Ahh...Finally the tree is in the pot. But it was a tough task to plant the tree as I have to be very careful with the root..But thank god now the tree is finally in the pot...

Kaffir Lime Tree

Hello people! I bought the kaffir lime tree this morning from the market at Bayan Baru. This tree only cost me RM8. Going to start my gardening as soon as I am done with my blog here. Can't wait to get my hands on the gardening. Mom chose this tree for me and the florist is kind enough to teach me how to plant this tree on the pot. All the tree need is sunlight. My balcony is facing the morning sun and I hope that the morning sun will give enough 'nutrien' to my kaffir lime tree.

The pot RM4.99 from TESCO and soil 3kg RM1.50 from TESCO

Newly bought kaffir lime tree from Bayan Baru Market RM8.00

New pot

I went to Tesco this evening with my parents and saw the flower pot is having good discount. I bought the flower pot for only RM4.99 and also a pot saucer for only RM3.50. The black soil price increase from RM0.99 when I bought 3years ago and now the new price is RM1.50 for 3kg.

I am going to plant the kaffir lime leaves from the lime seeds. Saw the plant in the market that sell for RM10 per tree. Anyway this is going to be my weekend project.

My First Potted Herbs

I plant my first curry leaf in a pot at my balcony. I brought this plant back about 3months ago from my hometown where my mom got the baby plant from my neighbor. I have about 4 baby curry leaf planted but only one survive and I have one that grow on its own but unfortunetly it does not grow. I will water the plant everyday and sometimes I water it with the water from the first rinse of rice water. I also use the water where I cleaned the fish/prawns as someone told me before to use this type of water the plant tends to be more 'healthier' it is so called vitamin for the plants. And yes those water really does the magic!

Two days ago I found a long green kind of insects on the matured curry leaf thought it's just a normal bug but they've attacked my curry leaf today leaving some ugly insects bites hole on the leaf...uurgghhh...I thought the curry leaf will never get attack by insects..So what I did is...I cut away the leaves where the buggie 'land' on it and removed the ugly curry leaf. Will have the picture posted later.
